An opportunity presented itself for me to spend a long weekend in Jasper, Arkansas climbing & photographing with friends. Mother nature was in a good mood and provided us warm, sunny temps all weekend.
The image above was taken around sunset on Saturday. The location was already in shade so I placed an SB800 on a stand camera left behind a fallen tree. It was directed at the left side of the climber and the arete he was climbing to add a little more dimension to the shot.
The image below is of the camping area at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch at sunset. I really liked how the sun was lighting up the tree tops as well as the little plateau that the tents were on.
