Who knew that with nine inches of snow on the ground and cloudy skies that you could get such good light through your windows – but this is actually the perfect recipe for a natural softbox!

After a morning of sledding our six year old came in to enjoy a warm drink.  Thankfully I had the camera handy and was able to take full advantage of this perfect light.

So the next time you find yourself sitting at home on a snowy day, grab your closest loved one and have them face this wonderful light and snap a few pics.
