About

My love for the outdoors and adventure all started with my summer vacations as a kid.  I was blessed to have parents that loved to sleep in a tent and explore beyond the boundaries of our suburban life.

I spent many hours in the back our family car driving to places like Grand Tetons National Park, Mt. Rainer, Rocky Mountain National Park and the Great Smokey Mountains.

To me a lush carpet of pine needles or spongy grass is more welcome than the most luxurious Persian rug.

It was in these places that I pounded tent stakes, gathered firewood, slept on the ground, fell into cold, clear lakes and hiked miles and miles of rugged trails – these experiences and the landscapes I witnessed are forever etched into my mind – forever feeding my desire to experience more.

I am fortunate to be married to a wife who enjoys the outdoors as much as I do and to be surrounded by friends who continually inspire me with their explorations and discoveries.

I certainly have lofty goals to one day hike the John Muir Trail with my boys and to explore the depths of the Grand Canyon with my wife. In the mean time, I will continue to explore out my backdoor and plan adventures with family and friends no matter how big or small.
